Marzieh Nazari

Dr. Marzieh Nazari is a Spectral Lighting Specialist and Lighting Designer with a background in architectural design, lighting design, and building physics. She integrates multidisciplinary scientific research with creative design to develop innovative lighting solutions that balance visual perception and comfort, non-visual effects, energy performance, and conservation needs. Her expertise includes daylight and artificial lighting design, glare and illuminance assessment, and spectral lighting evaluations addressing circadian rhythm regulation and lighting damage/exposure risk for museum collections.
Building on her PhD research, Marzieh continues to explore advanced spectral lighting simulation techniques, visualisation methods, and the influence of lighting on human health, circadian behaviour, and material preservation. She has collaborated with leading lighting researchers and practitioners across Germany, Norway, Japan, Switzerland, Sweden, Poland, Italy, and Denmark, bridging scientific insight and practical design application.
